We’re Leaving for Ecuador!

This evening ‘Chio’, my cinematographer arrived by Greyhound bus to Long Beach, about 40′ south of Redondo Beach where I live. She will stay with me tonight, and we will both go to the airport together early Saturday morning, even though her flight leaves three hours later.

Traveling to a new place you’ve never been before is always exhilarating; there’s an atmosphere of all things possible, of life being an unknown, of more presence to one’s life, and the presence of God in one’s life.

I believe that all things are possible when your heart is strong and your intent pure. This is the case with my meeting Dr. Mackliff. Both of our hearts are strong to heal schizophrenia and our intent equally pure to make the B.E.A.M  treatment known.

As mentioned before in a previous blog post, the evolution of a new and radically different medical treatment develops over 10 to 20 years, before it catches on. This trip to Ecuador is only a humble beginning; I am privileged to do this much.

In dedication of our journey, I am including Marco’s final poem written before taking his life. It is an inspiration for all of us to live a life worth living. It was the beginning post in this blog.

“I think things are worth doing
because they are difficult.
We do things not to achieve
something on the outside but to develop
something on the inside. We must push our
boundaries of what we know
or don’t know about the world
and ourselves. I may have not
achieved much at the time of
death, but I have at least lived
the life worth living”
